The club room on Thursday evenings is your chance to meet other Liverpool Ramblers, to exchange tips or information about equipment or walking areas, to book your club walks with our Rambles' Secretary, or just to meet friends and talk.
If you're new to country walking, or are thinking about joining Liverpool Ramblers this is a perfect opportunity. You can ask experienced ramblers any questions you may have, and you can book your first or second walk with us, or join Ramblers, the national organisation for walkers.
Every Thursday evening there is a different event, often related to walking, travel or of local interest. There's always something interesting happening at the Liverpool Ramblers' clubroom.
Entrance to the club room now costs £2.50. This helps to defray the cost of the room hire, and you can buy tea and biscuits for only 50p.
The club room opens at 7:30pm, and tea is served shortly after. The programmed event starts about 8:15pm, and the club closes at 10:00pm. Ring the bell and ask for the Ramblers' club.
Everyone's welcome, to meet old friends or to make new friends.
After several years at its current level, the club room charge is to increase from 5th January to £2.50. This decision was taken by the general committe at their meeting on 14 November. This should ensure that the charges for the club room will cover its costs.
Read this message from Maggie about it.
The club is excellent value for money, and provides a clean, safe and pleasant environment to meet other ramblers, particularly for potential new members to ask questions. There is always someone on hand who is willing and able to help out a new-comer.
That's just up from the Bluecoat, towards Hanover Street, on your right, just opposite the Old Post Office pub, and only a short walk from Queen's Square bus station, and Lime Street and Central rail stations.
